These early-morning and mid-evening sessions offer a steadying practice in an unsteady time. They are intended to anchor you before or after the day, nourish the nervous and lymphatic systems with guided, non-linear movement, and invite you to attune with your body's spiralic pathways.
Participants are encouraged to turn cameras off, allowing space to explore without the gaze of teacher or peer. Your body is your studio.
Rooted in the evolving language of Spiral Body Techniques® and the Alone-Together practices initiated by Shanahan during the COVID-19 pandemic, these classes are at once gentle, rigorous, and deeply connective. Participants claim their own pace and interpretation of Shanahan's prompts.
Guided by Molly Shanahan’s decades of choreographic, pedagogical, and somatic research, Spiral Body Techniques® supports movers of all backgrounds—dancers and "non-dancers" alike—drawn to exploring intrinsic movement, unraveling habitual patterns, and expanding embodiment from the inside out.
